Appeal for employers to assist with validating T levels

Awarding bodies City & Guilds and EAL are asking for employers to help them validate key aspects of their new T'level qualification.

Several hundred students in England are already working towards achievement of the building services engineering T'level: a new college-based qualification lasting two years which is designed to prepare learners either to transition into an apprenticeship or to move on into related studies at university.

During their second year students specialise in one of a range of BSE disciplines, such as electrotechnical, protective systems or plumbing and heating.

The request now out is for occupationally competent volunteers with current industry experience to review the content of the practical work-based project, which all learners need to complete, and also to assist examiners to gauge where to set the boundaries between Pass/ Fail and Pass/ Distinction grades.

Remuneration is on offer, amounting to £210 per day.

If you are interested and would like to learn more, please contact carolyn.mason@eca.co.uk.
