Coronavirus Update | 22nd April 2020

Hello, this is the ECA coronavirus update for Wednesday, 22^nd of April.

ECA has today published its second Furlough Grant Claims Update.

This gives information on employers’ initial experiences and questions arising from the Government’s online claims portal, and a step-by-step guide on using the portal, prepared by ECA’s own payroll team.

ECA and the BESA have jointly issued a draft sector guide on ‘Work in Specific environments’ during the coronavirus pandemic. This covers protective measures where the risk of viral spread is higher than normal, such as in health and care settings. Other ECA and BESA sector guidance will follow shortly, in addition to industry-wide guidance from the Construction Leadership Council in its Site Operating Procedures.
