Hello, this is the ECA coronavirus update for Friday, 24th of April.

Starting today, those classified as essential workers in England can book a coronavirus test on the government’s website if they have symptoms. People living with essential workers can also book a test.

The government has said it will help essential workers who are self-isolating to return to work if they test negative.

ECA has updated its Coronavirus Job Retention Scheme guidance. The latest guide covers how grant claims are calculated, and the claims process.

ECA is continuing to provide advice and assistance to Members on key questions of CJRS eligibility, and which payments to include in their claims. Go to www.eca.co.uk/coronavirus for more.

The Construction Leadership Council Coronavirus Task Force is looking at the practical impact of the Procurement Policy Note titled ‘Supplier Relief due to Covid-19’.

The document asks all public sector clients to review their supply chain, support supplier cash flow, and cascade payment down the supply chain.
