Engineers of Tomorrow competition set for 2021
The annual Engineers of Tomorrow competition, hosted by IFSEC for fire and security industry apprentices, has been postponed until 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Next year’s security and fire competitions will once again take place at IFSEC International, which has also been rescheduled to 18-20 May 2021.
Regional competitions for both security and fire will run between February and May 2021. Winners will then go on to compete at Engineers of Tomorrow, which will take place at IFSEC International in London, between 18-20 May.
All finalists for security and fire will be announced at the Security and Fire Excellence Awards 2021, on 23 November 2021.
David Scott, Managing Director of Skills for Security, commented: “Unfortunately, in light of the current circumstances regarding the pandemic, this year’s WorldSkills UK competition and Engineers of Tomorrow have now been postponed until next year. The sponsors, partners and stakeholders would like to take the opportunity to thank all those who entered for their hard work and efforts over the last year.
