Further support for apprentices and employers
From 1 September, employers in England have been able to claim an enhanced incentive payment of up to £3000 for each new apprentice employed between 1 August 2020 and 31 January 2021. Further details about eligibility and the claims process are available from the National Apprenticeship Service.
Updated guidance for apprentices, apprentice employers and training providers in England has also been published by ESFA and the Department for Education. Topics covered include measures to support safe returns to work and face-to-face learning and assessment, striking a balance between face-to-face and remote learning and assessment methods, employer incentive payments and resources available to apprentices who are made redundant.
