Self-Employment Income Support Scheme opens

Self-employed business owners adversely affected by coronavirus on or after 14 July 2020 can make a claim on or before 19 October 2020 for a second tranche of Government funding. Self-employed business owners can claim for the second grant even if they did not make a claim for the first grant.

At least 800,000 self-employed business owners made claims via the first stage of the Self Employment Income Support Scheme, totalling over £2.8 billion.

Business owners are advised to check their eligibility before applying. Learn more about eligibility criteria here. Please click here to learn how HMRC calculates trading and non-trading income for the Self Employment Income Support Scheme.
