Flexible tariff for heat pump homes
A new, flexible tariff for homes using heat pumps will be launched in the UK this autumn by green energy supplier Good Energy.
The tariff will help reduce the costs of operating heat pumps and offer cheaper rates at certain times of the day to allow homeowners to utilise them more effectively.
Juliet Davenport, founder and chief executive of Good Energy, said to BusinessGreen: “This tariff will be designed to make it as easy and affordable as possible for people to get rid of dirty gas heating their home and start using clean electricity from renewables.”
The flexible tariff should also help customers benefit from the Government's £2bn Green Home Grant scheme to support energy efficiency improvements.
