Important furlough reminder and webinar

ECAtoday
Important furlough reminder and webinar

The final date for putting employees on furlough for the first time is currently scheduled to be this Wednesday 10 June.

This important date was announced along with other UK Government information about extending furlough to the end of October and the introduction of a ‘flexible furlough’ option from 1 July.

To help clarify these rules and explain how they may be applied, ECA's director of employment and skills Andrew Eldred will host a live webinar and audience Q&A on Thursday, June 18. Viewers will be able to directly ask their questions to Andrew and have them answered, live.

Register and join here.

The reason for the 10 June cut-off is that the Government has decided to restrict furlough (including ‘flexible furlough’) from 1 July onwards only to those who have already been furloughed validly (i.e. for a minimum of three weeks) before then.

ECA has obtained Government confirmation that the 10 June cut-off is intended to apply only to those who have not been furloughed previously.
