Formula E season suspended over Covid-19 fears

The 2019/20 season of Formula E, the rapidly growing all-electric motorsport, has been temporarily suspended due to the continuing coronavirus pandemic.

The sport’s governing body, the FIA, announced the decision to stop all races for the next two months. As a consequence of the suspension, it will no longer be possible to race in Paris and Seoul, or Jakarta as previously announced on the originally scheduled dates.

A statement issued by Formula E and the FIA said, “with the wellbeing of staff, spectators and the entire championship workforce being the number one priority, precautionary measures put in place will restrict races from running during a set timeframe.”
