REA set to launch EV consumer code
The Renewable Energy Association (REA) will launch an electric vehicle (EV) consumer code on February 12.
The code will be the UK’s first electric vehicle consumer code for domestic charge point installers. It will set out standards for businesses who install charge-points in consumers’ homes for electric vehicles.
A statement from the REA said, “To date, there are around 1,000 businesses authorised to install these charge-points. However, we know that not all consumers have had a good experience when they’ve installed a charge-point at home”.
