Contractors win £750mn of decarbonisation projects

A framework of decarbonisation projects worth £750 million, designed to meet the needs of housing associations, NHS trusts and blue light organisations, has been awarded to 50 main contractors.

The work will include retrofit, energy efficiency, renewable energy and building management system solutions.

Awardees include BAM FM, Kier, Vinci and Wates.

The complete list of contractors can be viewed here.

Peter Francis, director of operations at the framework’s awarding body Fusion21, said to Construction Enquirer: “Developed in response to member and supply chain feedback; this framework supports our members to deliver against a zero-carbon agenda and builds upon the renewable and energy efficient solutions we already have available.

“Whether incorporated into existing asset management strategies or applied to complex multi-measure schemes, our decarbonisation offer will help members to develop their own net zero roadmap, reducing emissions and maximising cost savings.”
