Better Gas Safe Than Sorry campaign launched

A new national campaign has been launched in Birmingham by the Gas Safe Register, to raise public awareness of carbon monoxide poisoning.

The gas registration body released survey findings which indicate that over eight in 10 adults could be at risk of mistaking carbon monoxide poisoning symptoms for a common illness or hangover.

“We would like to urge everyone to help protect themselves and their loved ones by getting their gas appliances safety checked every year by a Gas Safe registered engineer”, commented Jonathan Samuel, chief executive of the Gas Safety Register.
