Parliament restoration procurement begins

The Restoration and Renewal Delivery Authority Ltd, the body responsible for a major project to restore the Palace of Westminster, is undertaking a market engagement exercise to procure a range of contractors and partners for the work.

Roles expected to be procured include construction management and fire safety surveillance – key areas of activity for many ECA and FSA Members.

The Delivery Authority said it was launching a preliminary market engagement on its proposed procurement approach for the £12bn project ahead of the contract notice.

Firms have until 9 August to take part in the consultation. A contract notice for the restoration and renewal of the parliamentary estate will be published next June.
