Construction sites to introduce facial recognition technology
Demand for contactless entry to construction sites rose substantially during the COVID pandemic. As a result, facial recognition technology may soon become the norm for entering and exiting many construction sites.
To enable no touch entry to a site, the Biosite Facial Recognition system can match the faces of people standing in front of a camera, against a remote database. The matching, which is reported to occur in a fraction of a second, is completely contactless, with no additional touchpads. For sites looking to introduce mandatory fever screening, integrated temperature measurement is also an option.
To increase security, data is stored on a secure server rather than the camera. The server shows workforce data across devices and sites. This lets firms track health, safety, efficiency and compliance, to improve performance.
