EV installations surge worldwide

The funding and provision of electric vehicle (EV) charge points in the UK and around the world are reaching an all-time high.

A new report by energy consultancy Delta-EE has identified the UK as one of the “leading European countries for charge point infrastructure.” UK infrastructure offers nine EVs per public charge point, a better ratio than recommended by the European Commission of 10 EVs per charge point.

In China, according to data from the China Electric Vehicle Charging Infrastructure Promotion Association in December 2019, more than 1000 charge points were installed per day in 2019.

Finally, in the Netherlands, energy company Total is set to install up to 20,000 new EV charging points, after being awarded a contract by the Amsterdam authorities.
