ECA Members win awards
Several ECA Members gained recognition at two key awards events this year.
ECA Members Interserve and NG Bailey were among the winners at the Building Awards 2020, picking up prizes for their efforts in supporting the industry through the coronavirus crisis.
Kier won Initiative of Year at the British Construction industry Awards for combining modern methods of construction (MMC) with a cutting-edge digital approach at the new build resettlement prison at Wellingborough.
Andy Mitchell, co-chair of the Construction Leadership Council of which ECA is a significant member, was named Personality of the Year at the Building Awards 2020 for his role in helping the sector navigate the issues caused by the pandemic.
In his acceptance speech, Mitchell said: "2020 has certainly been a very challenging year for everybody but it's also a year where we can be very proud of our industry.
"Thank you for this award, which I am delighted to accept on behalf of the three million people working in construction and everybody working with the Construction Leadership Council who have proven what we can do together."
